This exceptional book comes from the same 1914-1918 collection as Sturmtruppen – the assault troops of the German Army, published earlier by Heimdal. It shows the organisation and the strategies of the German artillery with all the guns, howitzers and mortars used during the First World War. There are also large chapters given over to the uniforms, including those used for chem- ical warfare, a new weapon appearing in 1915and spreading terror among the combatants.
This work contains more than 180 photos of uniforms and equipment with 20 illustrations and new maps.
