the Waffen SS 1939-1945, the Grenadiers volume 2

This works describes the Waffen-SS’s history, organisation, uniforms and equipment between 1939 and 1945. This elite arm numbered almost a million volunteers, coming from nearly all the countries of Europe. Benefiting from the Nazi regime’s complete support, the Waffen-SS fought on all the European fronts from 1939 to 1945.

The variety of the uniforms presented here shows how much the German supply corps reserved its most modern equipment for the regime’s “blue-eyed boys”, especially after 1941. Helmets, hats, helmet covers, smocks, camouflage dress, belt buckles, equipment, weapons, etc., all the panoply of the Waffen-SS is given in scrupulous detail, in this two volume work with rigorously authentic objects. Supported by period photographs, most of which are unpublished and come from private archives, this book fills a gap in the subject, which no study has ever really covered until now.
